Peter G Walker BDS LDS RCS MGDS RCS -
Peter qualified at Kings College in London in 1979,
and moved to Faringdon 16 years ago. Peter jointly
owns the practice with his wife Linda and they have
four children.
He has a special interest in cosmetic work including
crowns, bridges, veneers and tooth whitening,
and also in occlusion therapy which involves correcting
misaligned jaw joints. |

Linda
Walker BDS LDS RCS - Linda qualified from Kings College in London in
1978 and jointly owns the practice with her husband
Peter. They took over the practice in 1990.
Linda hopes to make anxious patients less nervous
about their treatment. Her emphasis is on preventive
dentistry and education, especially educating
children.
Linda is a working mum of four and when she does
find some spare time she enjoys gardening and
step clog dancing (a form of traditional English
dancing).

Miriam
Vivian BDS BSc -
Miriam qualified at Kings College, London in 1995.
She joined the practice straight after qualifying
and has been here ever since – a total of
11 years. She is now a Senior Associate at the practice.
Miriam has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry.
Miriam followed her father into the dental profession
along with her brothers. Her sister-in-law and
her nephew are also dentists!
Miriam has two young sons who occupy most of
her spare time! |

Lucy Penton BDS -
Lucy joined us in June 2006 from Cornwall where she has spent the majority of her 27 years. Having qualified from Cardiff , Wales in 2004 she worked for 2 years in Plymouth , before moving to Swindon to be with her partner. She has a special interest in treating anxious patients, especially children and hopes her chatty and caring approach puts patients at ease. Lucy is very happy to be working at Peter Walker & Associates as the friendly people and sense of community remind her of home.
She does miss the family pets though; 3 miniature goats, Truffles, Cocoa and Magic. Lucy enjoys skiing - she spent 6 weeks in the Artic in 1996 and she also enjoys gardening, shopping and decorating her new home. |

Jasvinder Jugdev BDS -
Jasvinder Jugdev first qualified in 1994 with
a First Class Honours degree in Dental Technology,
after a period on hospital practice he returned
to university and gained his BDS degree from Bristol
in 2001. J (as he prefers to be known) continues
to pursue postgraduate education in the clinical
area of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. Here at
Peter Walker & Associates J will provide a full
range of treatments. His particular interests are
in tooth whitening procedures and mercury free dentistry,
preferring to use more bio-compatible and aesthetic
materials for restoring broken teeth where possible.
As a prosthodontist and with his technical background
J would be happy to offer the provision of quality
dentures to those people who may have lost their
teeth or do not wish to go through extensive and
complicated procedures.
When not striving to
provide quality dental care, you may catch a glimpse
of him out on one of his bicycles or even a lightening
flash if he is piloting his tandem. |

| Hygienists |

Carrie Jackson -
Carrie qualified from Kings College London in 1989
and worked at a variety of practices since joining
Peter Walker and Associates in 1994.
Carrie’s aim is to make patients aware
of gum disease and motivate them to a good oral
hygiene regime. Carrie is very good with nervous
patients due to her caring and gentle manner.
As a working mother of twin boys, Carrie has
very little spare time but manages to keep fit
by running. |

Suzanne Masters -
Suzanne qualified from Guy’s Hospital in June
2001 and joined us six months later.
Suzanne’s goal is to provide patients with
a good and achievable oral hygiene routine. She
is keen to stress to her patients how important
it is to care for teeth and gums properly to avoid
gum disease – the major cause of tooth loss
in adults.
Suzanne is married and enjoys attending fitness
classes at the gym as well as meeting up with
her friends. |

Sandra Pearce -
Sandra is a qualified Dental Nurse, qualifying back
in 1992. She also has an Oral Health Educator qualification.
Sandra worked for the previous owners of the practice
and has remained here to become Senior Dental Nurse
for Peter.
Sandra loves her job as each day is different,
interesting and very rewarding. Her friendly,
caring approach ensures that the patients are
comfortable and at ease in the surgery. In her
role she provides support to all nurses and is
in charge of clinical ordering and stock control.
Sandra was awarded Employee of the Year 2004
as voted for by her colleagues, for excellent
personal contribution towards the practice. Married
with two grown up children, in her spare time
she enjoys gardening, ball room dancing and is
currently learning French. |

Penny Hill -
Penny joined the practice 14 years ago having previously
worked in both hospital and dental environments.
Penny has supported many of the Dentists over the
years and currently assists Miriam Vivian.
Penny’s experience of working both privately
and for NHS clinics has allowed her role to develop
in order for her to provide clinical administration
support throughout the practice. She is also an
appointed first aid person and helps Sandra monitor
all clinical stock, which keeps all the surgeries
equipped and running.
In her spare time she enjoys socialising, exotic
holidays, cooking and good wine! |

Sara Aparicio -
Sara joined our practice in March 2004 having worked
as a dental nurse since 1998. She passed her nursing
exam in May 2004 and is now developing her role
within the practice and studying hard for her Oral
Health Educator certificate. This will mean that
Sara will be able to offer patients valuable advice
on oral health care and diet, encouraging patients
to look after their smile. Sara hopes that eventually
she will be able to qualify to become a Dental Hygienist.
Sara married in June 2005 and spent her honeymoon
touring Europe in her Land Rover. Travel is of
great interest to Sara, often in her Land Rover,
as is cooking and wine tasting. |

Amanda Wheeler -
Amanda has worked in the practice for 12 years and
qualified as a dental nurse in 1995. She has completed
a radiography course enabling her to take OPG X-rays
as well as an implant course.
Amanda’s role as Dental Health Educator
enables her to offer sessions to motivate and
inform children and adults by giving valuable
advice on tooth-brushing and diet.
Married with two small children, Amanda enjoys
being active including walking her dogs and gardening. |

Susan Dixon -
Susan joined Peter Walker in 2000. She used to work
on the marketing department of one of the UK’s
largest hi-tech companies before deciding on a major
career change to become a dental nurse instead.
Susan enjoys helping anxious patients feel more
relaxed about their dental treatment.
In the summer, Susan enjoys getting on her wet
suit to go water skiing and she also enjoys keeping
fit at her local gym. |

Leann Poultney -
Leann has been a dental nurse for 12 years,
qualifying at Guys Dental Hospital, London
in 1996. She joined Peter Walker in 2003.
Leann particularly enjoys meeting and caring
for different people and the variety of
dental treatments provided, especially
tooth extractions. Leann has worked with
a number of Associates at the practice and
currently assists Linda Walker.
Last summer, Leann had her first child who
now keeps her busy when she is not at work.
She also enjoys spending time looking after
her two rescue cats and visiting family
and friends. |

Aneta Kew -
Aneta qualified in 2004 at Bristol Dental School but has been working as a dental nurse for 5 years. She joined Peter Walker and Associates in May 2006 and now supports Lucy Penton. She finds her job very interesting and rewarding - she enjoys talking to patients and putting them at ease but most of all seeing patients smile. Aneta is keen to constantly improve her knowledge and skills and would like to obtain further qualifications such as Radiography and oral health education.
In her spare time Aneta likes to visit her local health club where she particularly enjoys swimming. Walking and training her 1 year old cocker spaniel keeps her busy too. |

Annie Sealey

Annie recently joined the practice in her dual role of receptionist and dental nurse for Elizabeth Foad. After a secretarial career Annie decided to have a complete change of direction 3 years ago and pursue dental nursing. Annie is currently studying to qualify for her dental nurse exam.She enjoys her role very much and her calm personality has a positive effect on her patients and colleagues!
When not a work Annie enjoys sailing, keeping fit and looking after her very large dogs. |

Lee Jackson -
Lee joined us in January 2002 as Practice Administrator.
She has a different background to most of us here,
having studied Business Studies.
Her role is to look after everything at the practice,
apart from clinical matters, and to help the practice
run smoothly. For example, she looks after recruiting
and staffing issues, organising staff training,
marketing, advertising, finance and lots more
besides!
In her spare time Lee is currently studying to
be a Stress Management Consultant, as she has
a particular interest in this area. Her other
interests include yoga and art – especially
ceramics. |

Hazel Heasman -
Hazel, our senior receptionist joined the practice
in 1990 when Peter became principal. However, Hazel
had worked for the previous dentists at Gloucester
House since leaving school.
Hazel likes the constant buzz of her job, especially
welcoming and helping our patients. She enjoys
the long term relationship that she has developed
with many patients who have been loyal to the
practice over the years, some of whom first arrived
at the practice as children and are now parents
with young children themselves!
In her spare time, Hazel enjoys keeping fit with
aerobics, walking and jogging. |

Laura Newbury- Laura joined us on reception in July 2000. She was awarded 'Employee of the Year' in 2005 and has recently been promoted to Reception Administrator. Laura's career to date has focused on customer service roles as she loves helping and meeting people, and spends her spare time dancing, going to music festivals and socialising.
Laura recently went through orthodontic treatment to straighten her teeth and improve her smile. If you would like to get a patient's perspective on orthodontic treatment, Laura would be delighted to share her experiences with you. |

Juliann Bullows -
Juliann is one of our dedicated reception team who
handle the efficient running of the practice. She
joined the practice three years ago and came from
a customer care background. Juliann enjoys working
with people, especially keeping patients informed
and happy with the service provided. Juliann was
awarded Employee of the Year in 2003 for her outstanding
contribution towards the practice as voted for by
her colleagues.
Previously, Juliann spent 14 years working in
an equestrian centre teaching people to ride horses,
which still remains an interest. She is married
and currently lives in Cirencester. |
